Clinical Observation on Cefatrin^(®) Effect

Abstract

|
Clinical and bacteriological studies has been done of Cefatrin, the broad spectrum, antibiotic agent
Clinical studies demonstrated that this drug was safe and effective therapeutic agent in bone and joint infection.
For the 20 patients with bone infection and/or soft tissue infection, Cefatrin has been proved remarkable effect: in 8, moderate effect in 9, and no significant activity in 3. The efficiency in which was included the group of remarkable improvement and moderate improvement was 85%.
The satisfactory response rate according to the isolated organisms was 7 of 10 Staphylococcus aureus, 2 of 3 Pseudomonas, 2 of 3 E. Coli, 2 of 2 Klebsiella, 2 of 2 Enterobacter, 2 of 2 Proteus.
Tolerance was good except for indigestion in two and nausea in one case.
